Who can apply

  • Applications may only be submitted by an NLGCA certified as such by NIFA at the time of application.
  • Eligible institutions must be public colleges or universities offering a baccalaureate or higher degree in the study of agricultural sciences, forestry, or both among specified areas of study.

About this grant

The NLGCA Program assists non-land-grant colleges of agriculture in maintaining and expanding their capacity to conduct education, research, outreach, and integrated activities relating to agriculture, renewable resources, and related disciplines. Institutions may use funds to compete for federal grants, disseminate information, purchase equipment, develop graduate assistantships, and support faculty growth.
