About this grant

SJFPEP funds projects through local assistance grants or direct expenditures to improve conditions for survival of various life stages of salmonids and other native fish populations in the lower San Joaquin River watershed. The program aims to reduce vulnerability of native fishes to water diversions, predation, and other impacts within or upstream of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. Priority is given to projects aligned with CALFED Bay-Delta Program Implementation Plan actions and NOAA Fisheries Recovery Plans.
