The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Organic Certification Cost Share Program provides cost share assistance to producers and handlers of agricultural products who are obtaining or renewing their certification under the National Organic Program. Certified operations may receive 75 per cent of their certification costs paid during the program year.
Eligibility Criteria
Certified organic producers and handlers who have paid certification fees may apply for reimbursement of the incurred costs.

- Application fees
- Inspection costs
- Fees related to equivalency agreement/arrangement requirements
- Travel/per diem for inspectors
- User fees
- Sales assessments
- Postage
Ineligible costs
- Equipment
- Materials
- Supplies
- Late fees
- Transitional certification inspections
- Inspections necessary to address NOP regulatory violations
