About this grant

The Urban Greening Program funds projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions by sequestering carbon, decreasing energy consumption, and reducing vehicle miles traveled. Projects aim to transform the built environment into sustainable and vibrant communities by establishing parks, open spaces, natural systems, and trails. All funded projects must demonstrate a net GHG benefit and deliver measurable community benefits.
