About this grant

STEP is a transportation equity pilot that aims to address community residents' transportation needs, increase access to key destinations, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by funding planning, clean transportation, and supporting projects. It provides funding to help disadvantaged and low-income communities identify residents' transportation needs and prepare them to implement clean transportation projects. Projects center the knowledge and expertise of residents through all phases of design, implementation, and evaluation.
