About this grant

This program supports state, local, Tribal, and territorial prosecuting agencies to assign or hire qualified prosecutors to serve as Special Attorneys or Special Assistant United States Attorneys (SAUSAs). Cross-designated prosecutors investigate and prosecute assigned fraud, drug trafficking, human trafficking, and other crimes committed by aliens within the United States. The program aims to strengthen investigative and prosecutorial capacity and expand intergovernmental coordination.
